Our Drop-In Center provides a safe space to rest, connect with other survivors, build a community of support, and get assistance in accessing resources like housing, employment, education, transportation, and our newly launched Integrated Health Clinic.
The Drop-In Center is open four days a week, and guests have access to food, including a hot dinner served nightly, quiet and relaxing spaces, and the resource closet where they can pick up clothes, hygiene items, and other necessities they may be lacking.
In 2018, with a grant from the Pacific Hospital Preservation and Development Authority (PHPDA) Health Equity Fund, we were able to launch a first-of-its-kind Integrated Health Clinic (IHC), with a Nurse Practitioner, Chemical Dependency Counselor, Mental Health Professional, Trauma Therapist, and a Survivor Engagement Specialist. This allows REST clients low-barrier access to critical health services—on site—and with confidence that they’ll receive non-judgemental, trauma-informed care.
In our last fiscal year, prior to the opening of the IHC, we served 237 unique guests at our Drop-In Center. On average, each guest returned to Drop-In ten times.
